Add the Student INSIGHT Inventory to your Youth Program

Psychology and Self-Improvement Classes

(life planning classes, sociology, short courses on personality, etc.)

Use the Student INSIGHT Inventory to introduce teens to personality testing, help them learn more about their own personalities, and increase their understanding of the differences among people. The Student INSIGHT Style Feedback Set can be used to help students examine the differences between how they see themselves and how others see them.

Teen Stress Management

(stress management, parenting classes, conflict management training, etc.)

Use the Student INSIGHT Inventory to help students understand themselves better and learn how personality differences can contribute to misunderstandings and conflicts. Students can also discuss how the personalities of married and dating couples may have brought them together.

Any High School Class

(English, History, Science, Vocational Education, etc.)

Use the Student INSIGHT Inventory to help students get to know each other better and learn how to respect each other’s differences. Students will also learn more about your personality style and how this affects your classroom policies and discipline. As the teacher, you’ll learn about their styles and this will help you discover strategies for presenting your subject material in ways that capture the interest of students with different personalities.

Youth Organizations and Clubs

(National Honor Society, FFA, FHA, student councils, leadership groups, athletic teams, cheerleading, math and science clubs, church groups, etc.)

Use the Student INSIGHT Inventory to help members understand each other better, reduce conflict, and improve communications. Groups can learn to divide tasks according to personality strengths and discover ways to see the best in each other. The INSIGHT Inventory also makes a great orientation and team-building program.

Youth Counseling Centers

(individual counseling, group therapy, personality testing, conflict resolution sessions, etc.)

Use the Student INSIGHT Inventory to help teens learn more about their personalities and identify their positive traits. This information can be used to help teens improve their self-esteem and discover how personality differences often play a role in conflicts with parents, teachers, classmates and friends. Since trait descriptions are worded positively, the results can be particularly beneficial for helping students improve their self-images.

Teen Career Planning

(job interview training, career decision making, self-discovery seminars, etc.)

Use the Student INSIGHT Inventory to give students a way of exploring how different careers draw upon certain personality strengths. This can give students a way of evaluating what jobs might best fit their personalities or decide what specialty area in a career they might enjoy the most. The Inventory can also be used to help students learn to describe their personalities effectively in job interviews.

Youth Leadership

(Boy and Girl Scouts, 4-H, YMCA, youth leadership conferences, etc.)

Use the Student INSIGHT Inventory to help teens identify and value their personality strengths, learn ways to improve leadership skills, get to know each other quickly, and discover ways to work more effectively on committees and special projects. Since teens usually have unique opportunities to practice their leadership skills in these groups, they can put the many practical guidelines provided by the program to immediate use.

Youth Groups

(FCA, church youth ministries, study groups, youth fellowship, etc.)

Use the Student INSIGHT Inventory to help students value their inner strengths, appreciate the differences among people, and learn to be less judgmental. The Inventory provides positive ways to look at the link between spiritual values and personality and the way they influence daily behavior.
